Last day of class Discover Vermont

The last day of class at Discover Vermont was actually sad because I loved all classes and knowing that it was the las one it was kind of sad. We went to the chocolate factory and I was very happy because I love chocolate. We had some chocolates for tasting and they were delicious ! Then we had a tour in the factory and I bought some chocolates. The las things we did were very moving because we were at some beautiful places that made think that I gonna miss Vermont. When we arrived to Sait Michaels I didn't want to get back from the van because I really didnt wanted the classes to end. I thank the teachers because they made the classes better. I'll miss Saint Michaels and Vermont a lot. Thank you

Vermont

When I first arrived to Vermont I had all the spectations full filled. I was specting all I saw here and all I had. In the classes at first I was like sad because I just wanted to travel and have some fun but I realized that classes are very fun mostly if we are going out discovering all the places that Vermont has. I wasn't in Discover Vermont until the 3 class but in the first class in which I was I was amazed. Vermont is definitely a beautiful place to live and to discover because it has a lots of different cultures and things to do. I am very happy of having all of this experiences here at Vermont and with my friends. I thank everybody that made this possible.

Weekends

On Saturday we went to Boston. It was a experience that made me see a new perspective of the different cultures in US. We went with my friends to Harvard and I was surprised and amazed by the campus. It is awesome to see the place where presidents studied and had the experience of been at the better universities around the world. Then we went to visit MIT but we couldn't make it because the campus and all the buildings were very far from each other so we went back to the Prudential Center to shop. We stayed there a couple of hours and then we came back to Saint Michael's

On Sunday we went to the mass at the church and we had lunch at 11:30. After that we stayed doing homework at the dorm and we sleep for a while After sleeping we went to have some dinner and Megan was waiting for us. She made us an activity with T-shirts and it was really fun I'm expecting to see them on Friday. After that we started to rehearsal the parade for Colombia's coffee hour and I started to talk to my friends. We were up until 2 o'clock in the morning and suddenly the fire alarm went because of some pop corn and everybody was out at that time very sleepy. It was very funny but kind of nuisance. But I really had a good time this weekend with my friends.

Homeless shelter (COTS)

When we were getting to the shelter's building I was very nervous because I didn't wanted the people to feel uncomfortable with my presence in their home. When we arrived I liked how we were received by the woman of COTS she was very attentive. When we were inside the bedrooms I was very moved because I saw how they live together sometimes without their families and I felt very sad about that because even though I don't live with the both of my parents I can sleep with them. I wanted to ask them When were you born ? What's your dream ? What do you'd like to do in a future ? But unfortunately I couldn't because they were having lunch. I was expecting to met them but it was okay I really don't wanted to bother them
In their lunch. In my country there are some shelters for people homeless but I don't really know a lot of them. I think that it depends on the place were the shelters are placed so they have good conditions or someone have bad conditions.

During the scavenger hunt I was bet exited because there were many places that we had to search for and it was amazing. I felt like exploring and finding out many new places that were interesting. I really loved that activity I learned the schedules that the most of the restaurants have in Burlington and what do they sell. There are a lots of variety in selling things. I found out many places were we can have many cute photos and were we can have a nice time with friends. I'd like to do it again

Homeless

When we were starting to watch the movie I didn't realize it was about such a moving story. I was very surprised and touched by the story of this little girl who had to confront those horrible experiences and to deal with her druggie parents. The fact that she cod surpass all that situations made me think about all the things that sometime we take for granted and it made me value them. Talking about my country I found out that it is not the only one with homeless people. But a difference between some countries and mine is that in mine there are not so many shelter as in the most of the countries.

I would like to think that what I want to be and do is a very successful woman who can be capable of anything. To have my own company and to help all people who I can help. I think it is obvious and I am expecting to find myself in obstacles but with the help of God I know I will pass them in the better way I can.
